2. Legal and Regulatory Requirements
- Key legislation and guidance (e.g., HSWA, COSHH, ACOP L8, HSG274).
- Responsibilities of duty holders and appointed persons.
- Record-keeping and compliance documentation.
3. Risk Factors and High-Risk Systems
- Conditions that encourage Legionella growth.
- Identifying high-risk water systems (e.g., cooling towers, hot and cold water systems).
- The importance of risk assessments.
4. Control Measures and Monitoring
- Basic water system maintenance practices.
- Legionella control schemes.
